Vancouver Harbor All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train for a scenic journey through magnificent British Columbia and Alberta. Day 1 ARRIVE VANCOUVER (2 NIGHTS)
Welcome to Vancouver! Take your complimentary transfer to the tour hotel. This afternoon, meet your Tour Director who can answer any questions you may have about the exciting days ahead. At 6 p.m., gather at the hotel with your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a Welcome Reception.

Day 2 VANCOUVER SIGHTSEEING - AT LEISURE
Be swept away by sparkling Vancouver with its sweeping views of English Bay. Set out for Stanley Park to see its towering totem poles and explore historic Chinatown and Gastown, the city's first downtown, named for "Gassy" Jack Deighton who opened the area's first saloon. This afternoon, visit an art gallery, do some shopping or just relax at a cafe. Enjoy a Highlight Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 VANCOUVER - ROCKY MOUNTAINEER - KAMLOOPS
All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train for an unforgettable daylight rail journey through the diverse natural beauty of British Columbia. Travel through the fertile fields of the Fraser River Valley and alongside the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains before entering Fraser Canyon. End your day's journey in historic Kamloops, which means "the meeting of the waters."

Day 4 KAMLOOPS - ROCKY MOUNTAINEER - JASPER (2 NIGHTS)
Back onboard the train, make your way through the dramatic mountain landscape of Alberta to the delightful alpine town of Jasper. Stay tonight in the heart of Jasper National Park where you'll learn about Rocky Mountain wildlife at an interactive, after-dinner presentation by a local expert.

Day 5 JASPER SIGHTSEEING - AT LEISURE
Start the day with an optional cruise on Maligne Lake before embarking on an interpretive walk at Maligne Canyon, one of the most beautiful gorges in the Rockies. Learn about the underground river system while following the canyon's trail past waterfalls and jagged rock formations. This afternoon, relish the superb vistas, stroll the quaint streets, or take an optional float trip or alpine excursion.

Day 6 JASPER - COLUMBIA ICEFIELD - ICEFIELDS PARKWAY - BANFF (2 NIGHTS)
Head south along the stunning Icefields Parkway, driving beneath snow-clad peaks and alongside thundering waterfalls and glistening glaciers. Keep an eye out for wildlife including elk, black bear and mountain goat. Upon arrival at the Columbia Icefield, board an Ice Explorer for a journey onto the massive Athabasca Glacier. Arrive this afternoon at the quintessential alpine resort of Banff.

Day 7 BANFF SIGHTSEEING - AT LEISURE
Immerse yourself in the glories of Banff, including the viewpoint of Surprise Corner, spectacular Bow Falls and the wind-shaped rock formations known as hoodoos. Then take the Banff Gondola for a bird's-eye view of six mountain ranges. Spend the rest of the day as you like; explore the shops along Banff Avenue, or perhaps arrange an optional excursion such as a scenic helicopter flight over Mount Assiniboine or a river float trip down the Bow River.

Day 8 BANFF - LAKE LOUISE - SUN PEAKS
Arrive on the shores of lovely Lake Louise where you'll learn about the history and geography of the area on a brief interpretive walk. Soak in the stunning landscape with its azure glacial waters, deep green forests, jagged snow-covered mountains and the mighty Victoria Glacier. Then travel through the alpine majesty of Yoho and Glacier National Parks to the temperate rainforest of Mount Revelstoke National Park. Arrive at Sun Peaks in time for dinner and a stroll through the alpine village just steps outside your lodge.

Day 9 SUN PEAKS - VICTORIA (2 NIGHTS)
Travel back to the Pacific coast and across the Strait of Georgia by ferry to Vancouver Island and quaint Victoria, home to fashionable tea rooms and old English charm. Though the wooden fort is long gone, Bastion Square (the birthplace of the city) welcomes visitors with lovely architecture and a bustling market. Your orientation tour will also introduce you to the scenic Inner Harbor and the impressive Parliament Buildings.

Day 10 VICTORIA SIGHTSEEING
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 55-acre preserve of gorgeous floral gardens. Learn about the history of the gardens and immerse yourself in the extravagant exhibits featuring flowers in full bloom. Spend some time exploring the gardens on your own, strolling the winding pathways, spotting butterflies and taking in their unique natural beauty. Later, travel to the seaside community of Cobble Hill. Taste bubbly fresh apple cider pressed from local apples at a family-owned ciderhouse. After a private tour of the apple orchards and distilling room, you'll be hosted for an alfresco Be My Guest Farewell Dinner featuring delectable cuisine paired with locally produced cider.

Day 11 VICTORIA - DEPART VANCOUVER
Travel by ferry back to the mainland. Complimentary transfers will be provided to the airport, post hotel and Canada Place where you'll board Holland America Line's ms Volendam for your seven-night luxury Alaska Inside Passage cruise.
